Welcome Beloved Ones!

"The Lord Your God in your midst; the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." ~Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV)

Have you gotten all of your textbooks? Printed off your syllabi? Have you been quieted by His love? Yes, dear ones, have you allowed the God who doesn’t slumber or sleep to still your heart and mind with His love? For me, this is a daily invitation for the Lord to calm my worries about paying off my student loans, whether I’m a “good enough” person, at which internship site will I be placed—the list goes on and on. When He quiets me with His love, I get to breathe. I can exhale, finally noticing the beauty of the way the sunlight filters through my window on a Tuesday afternoon, or the utter extravagance of the stars in the sky at midnight. I get to remember that there’s a centuries-old love letter written with my name on it and signed in blood; anytime I feel that I’ve lost my way, I can turn to His Word. I read His unfailing promises that NEVER change in the face of the changing days on the calendar. Dear ones, you can have that too. You can experience that inner stillness, certainty, and peace that comes only from the Father. Let this new school year be one in which you daily retreat with Him. He longs to prove Himself to you, He longs to whisper His love letter word by word to you, and He longs to tell you who you really are. Let His love quiet you…..
“He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.” ~Psalm 107:29 (NIV)
In His Grace,
