God Gives Strength to His People

“I am weary but I know Your touch restores my life” ~ “Hungry” by Kathryn Scott

Dear God,
We, Your people, are tired exhausted. Depleted. Worn out. We’ve reached down deep and nothing is left. Since chances are high that You’re not going to come riding in on the clouds before our final exams (that would be quite alright if You did, just sayin’), we are coming boldly to Your throne of grace to, well, receive some grace in our time of need.
                                                                                             Signed,
                                                                                               Your dearly beloved.
I like to think that one of God’s favorite moments as our Heavenly Father occurs when we are in the utter pit of exhaustion. Those times when we find ourselves saying, “I don’t know how I’m going to get through this day without Your help”, or simply, “God, help me”. God doesn’t get a kick out of seeing us beaten down. Rather, His heart is filled with joy when He gets to do what He does best: save.

2 Chronicles 16:9: “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him.” I love that image of our omnipotent Savior on the lookout for our needier moments in life, just waiting to prove Himself as strong, dependable, good, and faithful. So if you’ve found yourself crying “Abba, Father” more than once lately, take heart. You’re in the perfect position to be rescued.

“The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.” ~Psalm 29:11
Yours in Christ,
Feylyn
